ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist and designer Denny Earl Beck is a native Californian, born in a small coastal community on the Pacific North West. Beck has enjoyed a successful career as a skilled metal craftsman who works mostly in the United States and currently lives in California.
While growing up, Beck marveled at his natural surroundings, enjoying giant redwood forests and breathtaking seascapes. Artistically gifted, Beck developed a passion for fine art and creative design. Over 40 years, he has accomplished works of art in a variety of mediums such as: painting, drawing. photography, and large scale metal sculptures in public works.
Beck’s greatest artistic passion is working with exotic metals. In November 2012, his solid aluminum sculpture titled “Ascending” was selected as a semifinalist in the prestigious art exhibition, the Crocker-Kingsley . This biannual state wide competition is sponsored by the Crocker Art Museum and the Kingsley Art Club in Sacramento, California. The event, which has taken place since 1927, was hosted at the Blue Line Gallery in Roseville, California. Juror, Michael Duncan, the corresponding editor for “Art in America” magazine, selected Beck’s metal sculpture, which is part of his “Minimalist Blocks Series.”
Beck is currently launching a new product line of sculptured metal art and decorative architectural embellishments for home décor, made of forged iron, copper, bronze, patina, aluminum, and stainless steel.
